Extreme (open national)
The extreme category as the name denotes, is the main competition category for adventure enthusiasts, who are physically fit, have prior experience in adventure races and have the mind, muscle and stamina to stretch boundaries and reach out to the tough challenge which INDIATRAWELL- THE KHANCHENDZONGA MOUNTAIN BIKING EXPEDITION 2008 unveils.
The riders in this category shall have access to supporters in vehicles, feed zones, massage and service enclosures; however they shall have no access to transport pick up during and after stages and no outside support would be allowed. The riders are expected to complete the whole course and vie for competition through all stages.
Participation fee –
Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) for Indian Participant and 500 US$ for International Participant for each rider registering for participation is required. The fees is relaxed by 50% if the rider is a bonafide resident of SIKKIM or is a student, 18 years of age and above, and can produce his/her institutional credentials (ID cards etc).
The participation fee is non – refundable if the rider does not show at the start venue on Event Day, or is unable to start. In the scenario of some rider pulling out of the race prior to 15 days of the start of the race 50% of the fee would be refunded. If someone is pulling out 1 month or more prior to the race 75% of the fee would be refunded.
Solo men
Individuals who are 18 years and above as on Event Day may register under this category. Prior experience is necessary as well as good levels of fitness.
Solo women
Individuals who are 18 years and above as on Event Day may register under this category. Prior experience is necessary as well as good levels of fitness.
Solo masters
Individuals who are 40 years and above as on Event Day may register under this category. Prior experience is necessary as well as good levels of fitness.
Teams (Men)
Teams may register themselves under this category. INDIATRAWELL- THE KHANCHENDZONGA MOUNTAIN BIKING EXPEDITION 2008does not have a separate category for mixed teams. The requirement to participate in the team’s category is to have a minimum of two members. More than two riders can also constitute a team.
Teams (Women)

USD 500/- (US DOLLARS Five Hundred) for each International rider registering for participation and Rs.10,000/= all Indian Participant and Rs.1000/= for Bonafide Sikkim resident.

VOULENTEERS PROGRAM:
You may not be able to ride the INDIATRAWELL – THE KHANCHENDZONGA MOUNTAIN BIKING EXPEDITION 2008, but you can still be part of the experience by signing up for our Volunteer Programme - volunteers get to stay in just like MTB riders.
We need all sorts of skilled people to stage an event of this magnitude, and your participation in this programme helps us to keep our costs down.
Volunteering guarantees you an entry into the following year's INDIATRAWELL – THE KHANCHENDZONGA MOUNTAIN BIKING EXPEDITION 2008. You don't have to use the guaranteed entry yourself and you can give your reserved team place to whosoever you choose. The reserved entry must be used for the following year's race.
Each year there are a limited number of volunteer places available, so please complete your application as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
